Malco Theatres Offer Kids Summer Film Fest

Malco Theatres have begun their Kids Summer Fun Fest.  This event will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. until July 28th.  The admission fee is $2.00 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit various children's hospitals in the mid-south, including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Garage sale benefits Collierville girl's treatment

Proceeds from a weekend garage sale will benefit a Collierville girl receiving treatment for Lyme Disease. Haley Graham and her mom must travel to Kansas City to receive treatment.  It costs about $24,000 a month. 

The weekend garage sale is being organized by Memphis Obstetrics & Gynecological Association, P.C.

Collierville Student Earns a Perfect SAT & ACT score

Is there anything Kevin Cuddy can't do? The Collierville High School senior is part of his school's knowledge bowl, Vice President of the German club and is in the process of earning his Eagle Scout award...an honor given to 1% of all Boy Scouts. The 17 year old now has a new distinction: Perfect!

Cuddy got a perfect SAT score of 2400 and a perfect ACT score of 36. 

Jeremy Shrader & Memphis Hot Jazz

Jeremy Shrader & the Memphis Hot Jazz will be the featured entertainment at Main Street Collierville’s 19th Annual Sunset on the Square Summer Concert Series June 10th evening. The band will play jazz,and American popular standards from the 1920s-60s.  Concerts are held in the bandstand in Confederate Park in Historic Downtown Collierville.

Cycle the Greenway

Are you ready to "Cycle the Greenway"?  The Temple Israel Environmental Task Force and the Germantown Parks & Recreation Department are sponsoring the "Cycle the Germantown Greenway" ride Sunday, June 6.  The ride begins at 7250 Wolf River Blvd.   Riders should meet at the grove parking lot of the Germantown Greenway located behind the Texas Gas Pipeline, west of Germantown Road.  The ride will benefit the Wolf River Conservancy.

Germantown Charity Horse Show set to begin next week

Thousands of people will flock to the arena to enjoy the annual Germantown Charity Horse Show, at C.O. Franklin Park on Old Poplar Pike.

Massive temporary tent stables are already in place for the event, which is one of the biggest in the calendar for Germantown residents and horse lovers all over the South.
