Dino's originally started out as the old State Cafe located at 84 W. Beale St. at the corner of Main & Beale. My grandfather opened there in 1941 where it served the busy downtown area three meals a day, six days a week from 1941 until Sept. of 1972. Unfortunately, urban renewal came through this part of downtown & we had to close up shop & find a new location. In January of 1973 we moved to 645 N. McLean.
We love the midtown area & being in a neighborhood. In the 35 years of being at this location we have seen young couples getting married & starting their lives together. We have watched their children as they grew up; turning into young adults themselves.
We have seen them go off to college, get jobs, start careers, get married and start their own families. We feel a sense of pride for them, as you, have allowed us to be a part of your wonderful family. You come in with your loved ones and you celebrate your lives together and you give us the very huge honor of being able to serve you on these special and memorable occasions. Thank you for letting us get to know you & giving us the opportunity to be a part of your family.
