Lindsey Brown learns to dance at the Delta Fair | Arts & Culture

The Delta Fair wrapped up September 9, but many are still talking about the fun had and the special events brought on with the fair this year.  Even senior citizens got a special treat.

I (Lindsey Brown) practiced for several months with a professional dancer from the Fred Astaire dance studio in Bartlett.

Benji Smith, my instructor, taught me how to do a swing. It was so much fun, but even more fun was watching the senior citizens enjoy our hard work.

It was part of the Dancing with Memphis Celebrities event at the fair. It's been going on several years, and this year I learned some area residents show up on Senior Day just to see the dancing.
