The Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library will host small business classes that include information on everything from steps to starting and maintaining a business, to legal aspects of owning and operating a small business.
Small Business Start Up: Laws and Taxes
The class will cover the basics of starting a business including legal aspects, incorporation, taxes, and employee issues.
Presenter: Mark Taylor, Senior Counselor, Memphis Office of the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers.

This program is designed to help the potential business owner learn how to purchase a business hassle and scam free. It includes learning how to determine the value of the business, make good decisions, and avoid common pitfalls.
