Shelby County parents invited to state PTA training | Events

(WMC-TV) – Shelby County will be one of six stops the Tennessee PTA makes during its leadership training tour this summer.

The tour kicks off in Clarksville and then roles into Memphis’ Southwind High School on Monday, July 23.

But you don’t have to be a parent to attend the training session. PTA officials say the caravan is open to anyone who’s interested in increasing parental involvement in schools.

Registration for the 2012 Tour de Tennessee will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. The program is scheduled to wrap up at 2:30 p.m.

Southwind is located at 7900 E. Shelby Dr.
