'Little black dress' fundraiser prepares women to enter workforce | Events

Time to get fancy, put on your little black dress --to impress!

The "Little Black Dress Reception" fundraiser will serve as the precursor to the Dress for Success Upscale Garage Sale.

The Organization helps women prepare to re-enter the workplace by outfitting them with professional clothing for interviews.

Then, they're provided a week worth of clothes once they get the job.

In addition, they provide computer training as well as resume workshops.

Great cause and a deal you can't pass up.

The event is a cocktail reception with food donated from various restaurants and chefs from across the city ranging from Sweetgrass to a Moveable Feast.

The highlight of the evening is the fashion show.

This year's models will be participants from the Professional Women's Group who will be wearing pieces that can be purchased at the garage sale in the weeks following the event.
