Suspected weed, mushroom dealer set on $2M bond | News
(WMC-TV) - West Tennessee Drug Task Force agents raided a Germantown house and found nearly three pounds of marijuana, over a pound of mushrooms, lots of guns and ammo, and more than $21,000 in cash.
"I saw about four or five Germantown police cars, and I just drove on by. It was quite shocking," said Paul Turner who lives nearby.
Charles Muir is in jail facing a long list of drug, gun, and money laundering charges. Investigators say Muir got the drugs, including psilocybin or psychedelic mushrooms, from a source in California and conducted business via U.S. Mail.
Judge Lee Coffee set bond for Muir at $2 million dollars. Coffee attached a hand-written note to the affidavit saying:
"Large quantities of drugs; many drugs; dangerous threats. Bond set at $2,000,000. Do not reduce without a full hearing.
A Muir family trust owns the house raided by investigators. Charles Muir is due in court on Monday.
