Friendly dogs invited to help city’s shelter | Pets

(WMC-TV) – Dogs and their owners can help out four legged friends who need to find homes during the Dog Days of Summer Saturday.

The June 30 event, sponsored by the Gardens of Germantown Memory Care, Hollywood Feed and Three Dog Bakery, will feature a dog wash, dog show and a cake walk just for the pooches.

There will also be awards for waggiest tail, owner/pet look alike, best trick, best looking mixed breed and best looking pure breed.

Each event costs five dollars to enter and all proceeds will help the Germantown Animal Shelter.

The Dog Days of Summer will take place on June 30, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Gardens of Germantown, 3179 Professional Plaza Dr.
