Panera Bread Midtown to hire 50 people | Restaurants

A bakery-cafe known nationwide for specialty breads is whipping up a spot in Midtown, now the new manager "kneads" a lively staff to go with it.

Manager Brian Wyatt is excited about Panera Bread's new location on Union Avenue that will create more than 50 jobs.

"Warmth is our business. It's what we do best," said Wyatt.

Panera Bread was established in 1981, and since then it has expanded rapidly in the United States and Canada.

There are 1,625 company-owned and franchise-operated bakery-cafes, two of those restaurants are in East Memphis and Germantown.

Part of Panera Bread's mission is to showcase the art and craft of bread making, and helping customers truly appreciate and enjoy a great loaf of bread.

Wyatt suggests if someone shares the company's interest, then they should apply at Panera Bread.
