Houston Middle School cheerleaders are national champions.

They are bringing home white national championship jackets and a trophy after winning a competition in Orlando at Disney World Saturday.

The school placed first against several other teams in the Universal Cheerleading Association's 2013 Large Junior High division.

UCA's national competition is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country.

The organization's goal is to inspire leadership on and off the field.
